Expanding Your Marketing Strategy to Attract more Visitors

In yesterday’s post I talked about identifying your keywords and keyword phrases to build your content around so you can improve your rank in search engines and begin driving visitors to your website.  Today I’ll talk about expanding your efforts beyond just keyword focus to improve your chances for a higher rank and more visitors.

The process starts with your content (Content is King), and hopefully you have already been working hard to create a few posts that will deliver value to visitors who land on your website.  Having multiple, high quality, posts on your site will establish trust among visitors and help to build your reputation as an expert in your niche.

Once you’ve got some content, begin sharing it across your social media channels.  If you’ve created relevant posts with value, your content will be read, shared, read some more, shared some more… This process in and of itself can send visitors to your website in droves – a single “like” or “share” from an industry influencer or social media user with a strong following could pay tremendous dividends in traffic and conversions.

This is why it is critical to build your social network in a fashion that can benefit your business.  I have personally created separate social media accounts for my businesses and use those accounts to follow, share, and connect with people who have similar interests.  I have a Twitter following of tens of thousands in one specific niche – and when it makes sense, I’ll cross share between my different business and personal social media accounts to open up valuable content that I have created to a whole new audience.

Find out where your target customers spend their time online and get your brand involved.  Join relevant Facebook groups and share valuable content and knowledge that will help solve problems, don’t just use social media to “spam” or for hard promotion, use this space to help solidify yourself as a “go to” person in your niche.

Make friends, gain followers, lead groups and contribute quality – then you can begin making recommendations and sharing aspects of your business that make sense to your connections.  Building a strong reputation and large targeted following on social media can drive incredible amounts of highly qualified traffic to your website which will dramatically increase your chances for conversions – and best of all, this is another FREE tool you can use to grow your business!
